Adding Recitatif to my list for December. Thanks for this. I own all of her novels and a few of her books of essays. Can't honestly say, at the moment, that I own all she's published.
i love that you’re also reading recitatif! i did contemplate adding an optional slot to read a novella, nonfiction, or a play of hers to round out the year
Thank you so much for doing this! I read all of her novels chronologically in 2024, plus many essays, speeches, interviews, etc. Hoping to join in and revisit this year.
I just started the Song of Solomon, currently on chapter 3 and I’m just now starting to really get into it I was confused after the 1st chapter 😂my local library only has beloved so that’s my next one and I’ll try and piece together the rest.
I was on shroom reading love at the park and once I got to a part that revealed some truths the tone became so dark and so heavy the yellow of the book became more pungent and the red in the title more scarlet. I had to pause and lay down in the grass looking up at the clouds …

Is there a way to mark on Storygraph if we've already read her work in other years?
So wild,I just started randomly buying all of her books recently. Waiting on The Bluest Eye and I'll join!
